Not what's trending. Not what a brand paid to promote. The products that address your lowest-scoring metrics — matched to your skin type, budget, and what you're already using.
Every week, Haru reads your scan history and writes a plain-language summary — wins, dips, and what drove each change.
Ask anything about your skin — and get answers that are actually about you. Haru can see your scan history, your metrics, and your current routine. It's not generic advice. It's yours.
Enter any product. Haru reads the ingredient list, finds products with the same actives at a fraction of the price, and ranks them by ingredient match.
Scan or search any product. Haru reads the ingredient list and tells you exactly how it fits your current skin metrics — which ingredients help, which to watch, and where to buy it for less.

Products and habits tuned to your actual data.
Most skin apps give you a score and leave you guessing. Haru connects what changed in your routine to what changed in your skin — week by week, metric by metric.
When your score moves, Haru checks your routine change log and tells you whether it was the new serum you added, a sleep pattern, or just scan timing. No other app does this.
Haru reads every product in your routine and flags interactions you wouldn't notice — like high-dose Vitamin C and Niacinamide reducing each other's effectiveness. Caught before your skin pays the price.
Product recommendations are ranked by what your scan data actually needs. No brand has paid to appear in your results — ever. If Haru earns an affiliate commission, it's because you chose to buy, not because they paid to be there.
Yes. Haru scores hydration, clarity, evenness, texture, and radiance — none of which depend on a particular skin tone. The analysis is calibrated across the full range of Fitzpatrick skin types. Melanin-rich skin is not a limitation; it's accounted for in how the model reads luminance and evenness signals.
Haru is a precision tracking tool, not a diagnostic device. It won't tell you that you have rosacea — that's a dermatologist's job. What it will do is tell you that your texture score dropped 11 points in the two weeks after you changed your cleanser. The value is in the trend and the attribution, not in any single number. Individual scans can vary ±3–5 points based on lighting and timing. Your 30-day trend is what matters.
Glasses don't affect the scan — the metrics are read from your skin, not your eyes. Makeup does affect accuracy, particularly for evenness and texture. Haru detects makeup and flags it in your results. For the most accurate baseline, scan with bare, clean skin. You can absolutely scan with makeup on — just know the scores will reflect your skin through makeup, not your bare skin.
No. Your photo is never stored. When you scan, the image is sent to Anthropic's AI for analysis, then immediately and permanently discarded. What Haru stores is only your numerical scores — things like "Hydration: 74" and the date. No image of your face is ever saved to our servers. You can verify this in the privacy section of the app at any time, and you can delete all your score history instantly from Profile → Delete my data.
No — and it's not trying to be. Haru is a cosmetic tracking tool. It scores visible surface characteristics of your skin and tracks how they change over time. It cannot diagnose skin conditions, detect disease, or replace clinical assessment. If you have a skin concern that's bothering you, see a dermatologist. Haru is the tool you use between appointments to understand what your routine is doing day to day.
No brand has paid to appear in your results. Products are ranked by what your scan data shows your skin needs, filtered by your skin type and budget. Haru may earn a small affiliate commission if you buy through a link — that's disclosed in the footer. The commission doesn't change which products appear or in what order. The ranking algorithm is the same whether a product has an affiliate link or not.
The free plan is genuinely useful, not a teaser. You get 2 scans per week, all 5 skin metrics, your personalised observation after each scan, the ingredient scanner, and the routine tracker. What you don't get on free is the weekly AI report, the dupe finder, Ask Haru, and daily scanning. You can use Haru free indefinitely — there's no time limit on the free tier.
Haru stores your skin scores, scan dates, routine data, and account information. Your photos are never stored (see above). We don't sell individual data to anyone. In the future, we may share anonymised aggregate trends — things like "hydration scores improve after 6 weeks of consistent SPF use" — with research partners, but never individual data, and never without a clear opt-in from you first. You can delete everything, permanently, from inside the app at any time.
Cancel any time directly from your App Store or Google Play subscriptions settings — no need to contact us, no cancellation fee, no dark patterns. Your Glow access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that you revert to the free plan and keep all your scan history.
Cancel anytime from your App Store settings. No commitment.
